Amanda really likes kohlrabi. Oh, and cheese. Amanda really likes cheese.

Amanda finds writing about herself in the third person sort of strange, so she may switch voices and pray for an editor. I’m not a vegetarian, but I’m not into eating meat. Maybe I’m a vegetarian who likes the occasional pork bun. We live in Brooklyn, New York, chase pork buns and key lime pie and try to eat locally.

When I’m really at a loss I call my sister.  It is a bit scary how reliably Winnie can come up with a thing to eat tonight from scraps in the back of the fridge. <i>I have an onion, two apples, some accidentally dessicated shitakes and six kinds of couscous. What is for dinner?</i>

Also, I don’t have a digital camera. Or I do, but it has a fraught relationship with batteries and can’t be counted on.
